Parasols with character

Monchiqe is a Swedish company that is here to fulfill your parasol dreams. The idea was born in the summer of 2020, where almost every day was spent in the garden. We drank rose wine in crystal glasses and dreamed away, imagining we were somewhere in the south of Portugal. The only thing missing to fulfill the fantasy was a delicious parasol. After failing to find the parasol of our dreams, we took matters into our own hands and Monchiqe was created.

Deliveries & returns

The delivery time is specified on the respective product's page. All delivery times are approximate and refer to the time from when we receive and register your order until the shipment is sent from our warehouse.

Stock items are items that we normally have in stock for immediate delivery. In the event of a large order intake or delivery delay, these goods may in some cases have a delivery time of 1–2 weeks. In such cases, you will be notified of this as soon as we have processed your order.

For some goods, the stated delivery time may be within a fairly large range (e.g. 1-7 weeks). These are goods that we normally stock but which have a slightly longer delivery time if they run out of stock. When purchasing ordered goods, we will notify you of the delivery week as soon as we can. Please note that in some cases this may take up to two weeks.

Naturally, you have the right to cancel your order, alternatively use your right of withdrawal, in connection with being notified of the specified delivery week. If you order several goods with different delivery times at the same time, all goods will normally be sent in one shipment when all goods have arrived at our warehouse.

If you wish partial delivery - contact us by e-mail or telephone. If the expected delivery time is longer than what was stated in your order confirmation, we will notify you of this as soon as possible after we have been notified of the delay. We reserve the right to exonerate ourselves from all compensation claims to the customer regarding delivery delays.

You normally have a 14-day right of cancellation on goods you bought in the online store, in accordance with the Distance and Home Sales Act . This means that you have the right to return an item if you notify us within 14 days of receiving it that you wish to use the right of cancellation.
Please note that the item must be returned in its original packaging and in unused condition.

When you use the right of cancellation, you as the customer are responsible for the return shipping. When purchasing an item that is specially manufactured or otherwise adapted especially for you, the right of withdrawal does not apply. This could, for example, be a parasol in a specific fabric and color that is made just for you. The right of withdrawal also does not fully apply to specially ordered goods, i.e. goods with a delivery time longer than two weeks.

If you wish to return your order, please contact our customer service at
When exercising the right of withdrawal, only the value of the goods is refunded. Complaints are not accepted for faults caused by wear or incorrect use.
Also attach high-quality pictures, and explain the reason for your complaint. In the event of an approved complaint, we will replace you with a new identical item or refund the cost of the item.

Reimbursement takes place through the specified payment method. The sum is always refunded to the same account that was used for the purchase and as soon as possible from the time we have received and approved the return.

Important: Be sure to check the goods for any damage when you receive the delivery. In order for goods with visible, external transport damage to be able to be claimed with us, the damage must have been noted on the shipping company's waybill in connection with the receipt. If you should discover hidden faults/transport damage after opening the package/packaging, please contact us at

We have no general warranty for the goods we sell.

Product care

To get the most out of your parasol, as well as to ensure safe use, it is really important that you read and understand these care instructions before placing your order.

By placing your order, you agree to have read and understood the maintenance and safety guidelines.

Contact us if you have any questions.

Always store your parasol indoors when not in use.

Always make sure the parasol is dry before putting it away.

Water resistant, but not waterproof, so avoid rain - if our Swedish unpredictable weather strikes,

be sure to dry your parasol completely before folding and packing away.

As with all wood, the color may change over time, and as it breathes, small cracks may appear - this is not a fault, but part of the aging process. If the shaft feels very dry after a couple of years, it can be advantageously brushed with wood oil.

To prolong life, treat from time to time. The shaft may also have a very slight bow, which again is normal for wood.

Check and tighten the fasteners periodically due to the aging process of the wood.

Color fading of fabric through sunshine is inevitable,

therefore, we strongly recommend that you put the parasol away when not in use to avoid accelerated fading.

If necessary, clean with mild soap and water, but make sure the parasol is completely dry before folding it up.

Do not use in windy conditions. This may cause injury to you or others.

Make sure the parasol rail (the part that opens the parasol) is properly attached. This can sometimes be stiff, if it is one of the first times of use, or has not been used for a while; make sure the button is aligned with the hole and press up until it clicks into place, double check it is secure before using it, otherwise it may close unexpectedly and cause damage.

Be careful when opening the parasol to ensure that your hands do not get caught in the runner, as this may cause injury.

Make sure the center hinge is properly secured in the desired position before use. If not properly secured, it may close unexpectedly and cause damage - so double check before use.

The parasol should not be left unattended and should be closed when not in use.

Always check that the parasol is not damaged and that it is correctly mounted and stable before use.

The parasol has small parts that can become detached and pose a suffocation risk, therefore it is important to never leave children unattended and to ensure that all parts are attached before use and that it is firmly anchored (fixed) in a suitable parasol base or directly on the ground before use.

Keep away from open flames or other fire hazards.

Keep away from hot surfaces, e.g. grills.

The parasol is only intended to be used as a parasol, i.e. to provide shade against the sun.

The parasol must only be handled by adults. We do not recommend children to do this due to the risks mentioned above.

Can I use the parasol at my Cafe, restaurant etc.?

Yes, you can. But they are designed for private use and occasional exposure to sun and weather elements.

It is therefore particularly important that you treat the parasol with care if it is placed permanently outdoors, we then recommend that

you take it inside when not in use and store it in the included carrying case
